Job Summary:
The Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing the financial activities of the company. This position is responsible for overseeing the accounting operations, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in accounting, preferably within the manufacturing or paper industry.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
• Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, liaising with external auditors.
• General Ledger Management:
• Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
• Perform reconciliations of bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Oversee journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
• Monitor and report on variances between actual results and budget/forecasts.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Compliance and Internal Controls:
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Cost Accounting:
• Analyze production costs and variances.
• Work closely with operations to understand and manage cost drivers.
• Implement and maintain cost accounting systems.
• Taxation:
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
• Provide tax planning and optimization strategies.
• Team Leadership and Development:
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing or paper industry.
• Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial analysis tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
