As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company, managing accounting operations, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities:
• Financial Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Financial Controls: Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with accounting policies, and minimize the risk of fraud.
• Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including the timely filing of tax returns and accurate calculation of taxes payable.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with management in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections to support business planning and decision-making processes.
• Cash Management: Monitor cash flow, manage banking relationships, and optimize working capital to support operational needs.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and cost analysis to identify trends, areas of improvement, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Audit Support: Assist in the coordination and completion of annual audits, liaising with external auditors, providing required documentation, and addressing audit queries.
• Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated on accounting standards, taxation laws, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and advise management accordingly.
• Systems and Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance accounting systems, streamline processes, and improve efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, promoting professional growth and ensuring high-quality work.
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an Accountant, with a focus on financial management and reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and taxation laws.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite.
• Experience in the real estate industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial records and documentation.
