Your Opportunity

BDO Canada is seeking a dedicated Senior Accountantor Managerto join our Accounting Advisory Services team. This role focuses on delivering expert guidance to clients on complex accounting matters. Working closely with clients, you will provide innovative, sector-specific solutions to support their financial reporting and business needs. This role can be done from any of our Canadian office locations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support and execute Accounting Advisory projects related to IFRS, US GAAP, and ASPE, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Assist clients with the implementation and application of accounting standards, including the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with clients to address technical accounting issues, draft technical memoranda, and provide insights to resolve complex financial reporting challenges.
• Prepare client-ready reports, presentations, and related materials to clearly communicate technical findings and recommendations.
• Liaise with external auditors, facilitating clear and effective communication.
• Stay updated on developments in accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and industry trends to offer informed client support.
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across service lines to deliver comprehensive solutions tailored to client needs.

Your experience and education:
• CPA designation with at least 3-5years of experience in accounting advisory, financial reporting, or audit with a focus on technical accounting issues.
• Proficiency in IFRS and ASPE; knowledge of US GAAP is an asset.
• Strong report-writing and presentation skills, including creating materials for various audiences.
• Effective organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• A proactive team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
