Senior Accounting Professional
Job description
**Overview:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Professional to join our team. As an integral part of our accounting department, you will be responsible for recording and maintaining financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. This is an excellent opportunity to work directly with our Controller and CFO, ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. **Responsibilities:**
• Maintain financial transaction records by establishing accounts and posting transactions to the general ledger
• Assist with creating budgets, financial forecasts, and quarterly reports
• Prepare financial statements, such as income statements, balance sheets, and subsidiary ledgers
• Perform reconciliations of key general ledger accounts, such as bank accounts, tuition receivables, and accounts payable
• Participate and assist with the annual audit
• Collaborate with the Controller and CFO to ensure adherence with generally accepted accounting principles
• *Qualifications:**
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
• 2+ years of related accounting work experience
• Strong understanding of basic accounting procedures
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Ability to manage confidential information, multiple priorities, and competing deadlines plus maintain attention to detail
• Professional integrity and ability to adhere to internal procedures
• Experience working with individuals across all levels of an organization
