Tertiary qualifications in communications, media, public relations or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience in a senior communications or content advisory role.
Demonstrated experience providing strategic communications and content advice to senior stakeholders, including translating complex, technical or system‑level issues into clear, risk‑based narratives for non‑technical audiences to support informed decision‑making.

Demonstrated experience contributing to the planning, coordination and delivery of communications during incidents or emergencies, operating within formal governance, approval and public information frameworks.
Proven ability to lead the development of high‑quality, accessible and user‑centred content, ensuring accuracy, consistency and alignment with organisational standards, digital best practice and strategic priorities.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands, exercise sound judgement and deliver outcomes in fast‑paced or high‑risk environments.
Demonstrated capability to build and maintain effective working relationships across agencies and stakeholders, contributing to collaboration and shared outcomes where influence may be indirect
