Mō te tūnga | About the role

You will join the National Intelligence Centre and work with a small team of geospatial experts who are delivering critical information across police and helping others to understand the value of geospatial mapping.

Geospatial data supports not just mapping, but also analysis and modelling to help predict trends and improve decision-making. This role will be pivotal for delivering technical expertise and solutions.

Key Accountabilities:

Administer and improve the ArcGIS Enterprise GIS platform with focus on the core ETL systems in FME Flow.
Deliver geospatial support across operations and investigations.
Work closely with Work closely with Operational policing teams and support major events.
Assist the Geospatial Manager with projects and daily tasks.
Provide high-quality spatial analysis, mapping, and customer-focused services.
Interact and advise on solutions for decision makers.

Experience - you will have:

High level of ETL automation proficiency with FME Form/Flow.
Experience leveraging ESRI technologies with skills and experience in ArcGIS Enterprise, Arc Pro, AGOL and Mobile Field apps).
Relational database management skills and experience.
Proficient in the use of Python, SQL, and Arcade.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving approach and excellent judgement.
Top class communication and presentation skills both verbal and written.
Can do attitude, and open to innovation and development.
Resilience and ability to think, act and adapt at speed.
Solid understanding of Intelligence.

The successful applicant must reside within the Wellington region and be prepared to travel to Districts when needed.

Utu ā-tau | Salary
This position is covered by a collective agreement and salary will commence between $110,425 and $136,780 dependent on skills and experience relevant to the role.
