Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Agricultural Economist to lead innovative projects and deliver high-quality economic evaluations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with landholders, industry organizations, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain bio-economic models and use other economic analysis methods to assess agricultural production activities and natural resource management initiatives.
Utilize and provide training to stakeholders in the use of DPI economic decision support tools.
Provide advice and direction to management and stakeholders to improve service delivery and ensure quality outcomes.
Lead projects to deliver high-quality economic evaluations and communicate information that targets improved profitability and sustainability.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree (AQF level 7 or equivalent) or higher in economics, business, or agriculture is required.
Experience in dealing with the agricultural sector and primary producers will be highly regarded.
Citizenship or visa requirements: applicants must be an Australian citizen, hold permanent residency status, or possess a visa allowing them to work in Australia.
