Job Overview
U.S. Bank is looking for a skilled Product Manager with exceptional technical, leadership, and influential skills to drive our enterprise technology projects. This role will focus on defining and enhancing products and features for our multi-cloud AI Platform, which includes Gen AI, Agentic AI, and MLP.
Your responsibility will encompass end-to-end product management for this platform, ensuring timely delivery while enhancing efficiency and quality in our processes. You will play a key role in influencing detailed functionality, user experience, and trade-offs across various platform teams, acting as a business engineer who rationalizes data use, optimizes supported processes, and connects sprints to satisfy both customer and end-user needs.
Primary Responsibilities
• Lead the development and evolution of products within the AI platform, collaborating with engineering, UX/design teams, and business stakeholders to drive the strategic vision, priorities, and roadmap.
• Act as a thought leader in technical platform product management.
• Utilize market insights, customer needs, and internal business priorities to create and refine the product vision, including target customer segments, channels, and value propositions.
• Align the strategic vision with cross-functional stakeholders, including senior technology and business leaders, to identify priorities that will shape the product roadmap and success measures.
• Collaborate with engineering teams and product owners to initiate feature requests and ensure product requirements are well understood.
• Understand the broader architecture and technology vision, defining the evolution of the platform to support thousands of developers and millions of users globally.
• Manage technical considerations with the engineering team to deliver elegant, generalizable solutions to complex challenges.
• Work within an agile development framework, defining product features, user stories, and prioritizing work in sprints while participating in retrospectives.
• Educate and advocate for technical platform strategies that leverage tools and technologies to enhance products and drive business efficiency.
• Lead and mentor a small team of dedicated product managers responsible for all aspects of technical platform functionality, user experience, and strategic product direction.
Qualifications
• Experience in Technical Product Management.
Experience Should Include
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related Engineering discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Over 10 years of related experience in product management.
• A minimum of 3 years focusing on technology platforms, microservice architectures, or cloud/SaaS products; experience in AI/ML is highly preferred.
• At least 2 years of relevant management or leadership experience.
Preferred Skills
• Advanced product management skills with a strong customer-focused approach.
• Deep understanding of various components of the technology stack for cloud-based applications.
• Knowledge of open-source technologies applicable to modern web, mobile, and microservice practices.
• Strong expertise in technical product/program development, implementation, and strategic analysis.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication capabilities.
• Strong financial and competitive analysis skills, including ROI calculations.
This position requires you to work from a U.S. Bank location at least three days per week.
