This is a new exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis, focusing on our primary Sleep Country / Dormez-Vous (SCC / DV) portfolio . In this role, you will collaborate with various business units, provide ad-hoc analysis and reporting, manage dashboards and databases, and support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
Job Description
Manage/develop dashboards and reports to monitor business performance
Collaborate with business partners to create business cases for new stores and ensure alignment with the annual budget, and project return thresholds (NPV, IRR, and payback)
Support in the quarterly forecasting and annual budget process for SCC/DV and provide ad-hoc analysis as required by the business
Analyze large amounts of data and draw conclusions based on the trend and observations
Support in the creation and maintenance of monthly corporate-level reporting activities such as monthly CSG Committee pack and quarterly board presentation materials
Identify areas to improve efficiency through automation, simplification, and prioritization
Support Finance leaders on ad-hoc initiatives
Qualifications
BA in Business, Finance, or Accounting
3+ years of work experience in Finance is required
Obtained or working towards CPA/CFA designation considered an asset
Knowledge of the retail industry and e-commerce is a definite asset
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey ideas and recommendations while considering all stakeholders' viewpoints
Strong analytical and inquiry skills to understand operational processes and constraints
Advanced skills in financial modeling, data management, and BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Domo)
Experience using FP&A / planning software (e.g., Prophix, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan)
Experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, Domo etc)
Proficient in MS Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
