Job Description
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, economics, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related subjects
• 5 - 8 years’ experience in banking/financial services/other relevant experience, and/or
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Technology Risk management roles.
OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure that new and changing processes are assessed, awareness is raised and risk mitigations are in place. They achieve this through the effective design & implementation of controls to enable compliance and supporting the business through new and changing processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Adhere to the Code of Conduct . The Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour, actions and decisions we expect from our people.
• Responsible for data quality in maintain various databases including RiskInSite and monthly management reporting.
• Identify, initiate and manage actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls including issues identified through audits and other external processes.
• Responsible for the effective design of controls for all new and changing processes and operations, and support the business through the implementation.
• Manage root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.
• Identify, lead and manage the continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and reports.
• Responsible for the design and implementation support the business to design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
• Work effectively with Line 2 colleagues to determine optimal course of action to remediate any significant data integrity issues within the BU.
• Responsible for ensuring the correct risk and controls overlay the end to end process mapping and documentation management to support the control process.
• Responsible for ensuring risks are profiled and captured in the Risk Profile RCSA and updated when risk trigger events occur.
• Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business.
• Conduct RCSA, Thematic reviews for Operation teams.
• Engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including delivery teams, cyber security specialists, business owners and operational risk
• Perform technology risk assessments of new retail banking projects
• Identify key risks, issues and advise on the remedial action
• Provide specialist advice on technology compliance for project delivery, Risk in Change and other internal policies
• Inform and influence senior stakeholders for better risk outcomes.

Knowledge - Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks would be advantageous
Controls knowledge - Controls design experience
People - People leadership skills, including facilitation skill, coaching and guiding others
