We’re looking for a Senior Analyst/Accountant to join our Melbourne team. You will work with the frank HQ team here in Melbourne, reporting to the Global Head of Finance. You’ll also work closely with a small offshore team, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities will include working on value-adding analysis and insights as well as some day-to-day accounting, month-end & compliance tasks – think FP&A, finance business partnering, and accounting all in one.

Key Responsibilities:
Preparation of monthly consolidated P&L and Balance Sheet
Analysis and commentary for monthly board reporting and internal reporting eg. Actuals vs budget/forecast.
Assisting in regular re-forecasting & half-yearly budgeting process
Finance business partnering with our other departments across Retail, Marketing, Digital and Operations, helping provide analysis & insights to them and monitor budgets.
Preparing customer profitability analysis and contribution margin to help the business drive decision-making.
Assist in implementing improvements in the business’s cost accounting functionalities to drive efficiencies in the customer profitability reporting process.
Monitoring and analysis of OPEX budgets to drive cost efficiencies and ensure accurate forecasting.
Implement and utilise Power BI for reporting
Preparing the weekly cashflow file and executing supplier payment runs across 4 entities
Various month-end close tasks and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of monthly management accounts.
Working with our offshore team to review balance sheet reconciliations and assist where required.
Ensuring appropriate cost allocation of monthly Global 3PL invoices to various accounts/channels/regions/customers, working closely with our Operations team to code & review.
Preparation of data required for our global statutory compliance requirements and liaising with external accountants/advisors.
What you need to succeed:
A solution-focused mindset.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Well-organised approach with an eye for detail.
An analytical and data-led mind.
High level of Excel skill
CA/CPA qualified and a commerce or business bachelor’s degree.
Any experience with SQL or Power BI would be highly regarded.
SAP Business One experience would be beneficial but not required.
Previous accounting experience in ecommerce / retail / manufacturing would be preferred.

What’s the deal?
This role will be full-time 5 days a week hybrid: 2 days work from home & 3 days in our Richmond office.
Salary range will be approximately $+0k-$100k plus superannuation, depending on the level of experience of the candidate
One bonus non-working day per quarter, we call them "Happy Days" on top of your annual leave
