About the Role
This Senior Analytics Consultant will join the CSBB Strategy Finance & Reporting Team This position will play a key role in the Data analytics, Data research, Data quality and Data management support to facilitate the financial reporting and analytics for our Consumer Strategy using the Marketing Decision Support System (MDSS) as the system of record. The incumbent is expected to be a strong team player who can build strong partnerships with stakeholders and have a solution-oriented mindset in solving complex requirements.
Responsibilities & Skills
• Perform data quality checks & validations of MDSS data, performing in depth analysis, testing for accuracy, identifying and resolving data issues and perform thorough root cause analysis.
• Perform Trend analysis of the various revenue and expense components built in MDSS, review the variances, validate & analyze the data. Highlight any data integrity issues in a proactive manner to the management.
• Work in tandem / coordination with the technology team, product Finance partners, analytics team and downstream users to build requirements / Functional changes to be implemented in our Teradata environment. This could be for modifications, changes and or enhancements post the review/ validation phases.
• Candidate should be a subject matter expert on Data analytics & Automation and should have prior experience in all attributes of data handling.
• Candidate should have good expertise on Essbase, SQL (advanced SQL is desired), Teradata, and advanced Excel with VBA macros/ Power Query. Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Capable of conducting in-depth research of large data (financial & non-financial) using various tools and providing insightful solutions to stakeholders.
• Interact / coordinate with different teams to proactively raise any specific issues or challenges around the business and work independently with the concerned teams to resolve issues.
• Candidate should ensure faster turnaround time on query handling and ad-hocs if any, with good understanding of change management and its likely impacts and consequences. Provide detailed analysis, trend analysis and high-level recommendations. Should proactively call out for issues / challenges and come out with solutions.
• Candidate should be good with financial modelling, understand process changes and be good with research and query handling.
• Incumbent should have strong communication skills with capability to write quality documentation on model requirements, inferences and evidencing to various stakeholders.
Essential Qualifications
• MBA (or) Cost & Management Accountant (or) MCA / BE (Computer Sciences) with 10-12 years of experience.
• Certification in data analytics / data sciences from a premier institute.
• Degree, diploma or certification in SQL, SAS, Tableau, Hadoop, Python
• Candidate should have good prior experience in database management and database related applications and should be good with all data handling experience.
• Candidate should have good exposure to handling workflow applications, be good with BO and or BI Tools and or similar applications.
• 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: Finance/Banking, Analytics, Reporting and ETL
• Candidate should have good reporting experience mostly around building models, templates and linkages to different databases.
Desired Qualifications
• Reporting knowledge an added advantage.
• Industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience of working across one or more geographic territories or regions.
• Knowledge of Power BI, SAS or other reporting tool.
• Must be willing to work in US shift.
• Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
