About the opportunity
It’s an exciting time to join T&G Global’s Data & Analytics team, the core of our IT strategy, as we transition to intelligent digital supply chains. As a Senior Analytics Engineer you’ll be part of a team of four Analytics Engineers, driving simplification and innovation across T&G’s data landscape. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your skills and experience in the following key areas:
Drive critical data and analytics projects as part of T&G's business transformation program
Design and implement data engineering and modelling that extracts valuable insights from enterprise systems and applications.
Develop robust ETL processes to clean, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse (Snowflake).
Create and deploy datasets, ensuring data accuracy and security.
Design and maintain performance-tune production BI systems through PowerBI to ensure high levels of availability and reliability.
Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior team members
The world of fresh produce moves fast, so you’ll enjoy the pace and complexity of this vibrant industry. This is a flexible, hybrid role with a mix of work from home and onsite in either Ellerslie (Auckland) or Whakatu (Hawkes Bay) with free onsite parking.
About you
5+ years' experience in data engineering and modelling, specialising in data warehousing
Strong technical skills in SQL, PowerBI/DAX, and Snowflake
Expertise in Data & Analytics technologies and development techniques
Curiosity to continue learning and developing your technical skills
Analytical problem solver
Collaborative working style
Confident presentation skills
