Job Description
Luxoft is collaborating with a prominent HW SoC Vendor in creation of an Android Automotive BSP targeted at the Automotive Industry. The customer wants Luxoft to do the board bring-up of Android Automotive on target SoC platform. The Porting activity is scheduled to start ASAP and targeted to first have a showcase demo ready for Embedded World. Later the platform would be further included with more modules and features for Automotive market. During this duration, Luxoft would do the base bring-up of foundational components of Android Automotive (Audio, GFX, Media & Connectivity) that can be showcased to the customer during Embedded World.
Luxoft is looking for experienced Android Framework and BSP developers for enablement of this platform for the customer. This brings immense scope of development for Android Developers and enthusiasts.
Responsibilities:
As a BSP Developer, you would be responsible for below components in BSP porting of Android Automotive: Bootloader initiation, Kernel bring-up, Device driver, display driver, Android init, Zygote, SurfaceFlinger
Mandatory Skills Description:
1. 10+ years of experience
2. Engineer with experience in Android/Linux/driver/kernel development
3. Have programming experience in Android - Linux Kernel, Drivers, HAL layer, Native Frameworks (C++).
4. CTS, GTS issue analysis, and bug fixes
5. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills of the building blocks.
6. Good understanding and debugging skills of Android startup and initialization sequences.
7. At least a year of Experience in any of Camera HAL/Audio HAL/Sensor HAL/Other HAL.
8. Experience working with different versions of Android and Porting
+. Kernel bug fixes and upstreaming
10. Strong written and verbal communication skills
11. Self-motivated
Nice-to-Have Skills:
1. Expertise with CAR Framework.
2. Automotive experience
3. Android Automotive OS expertise
4. Experience in working on different Linux distributions like Ubuntu/RHEL/SUSE
5. Experience with Java
6. Android Application programming experience
Languages:
English: B2 Upper Intermediate
