Job Description
Join us in securing the digital world together – where your work will make a lasting impact.
We're looking for a Senior Android Engineer to design, build, and maintain high-quality mobile SDKs that power how our partners and third-party developers integrate F-Secure's cybersecurity solutions into their own applications. Your work will directly shape the developer experience, ensuring our SDKs are robust, performant, and easy to integrate — ultimately helping protect tens of millions of users across 50+ countries.
You'll be part of our mobile engineering team, collaborating closely with product, backend, and design teams to translate requirements into reliable SDK features. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll take ownership of the full SDK lifecycle — from API design and implementation to documentation, testing, and developer support. If you enjoy building cutting-edge products that make a real difference and thrive on technical excellence, we'd love to hear from you.
This role is based in Bengaluru, and we work in a hybrid setting with team-agreed ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Android SDKs (AAR/JAR libraries) for external partners and internal teams, ensuring clean, well-documented, and testable Kotlin/Java code
Define and evolve public-facing SDK APIs with a strong focus on developer experience, backward compatibility, and versioning
Write comprehensive unit, integration, and instrumentation tests, and proactively identify and resolve bugs, crashes, and compatibility issues across Android OS versions and device types
Create and maintain developer documentation, integration guides, and sample applications to support seamless partner integrations
Collaborate with product, backend, and design teams to translate requirements into reliable SDK features, and participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design reviews
Monitor SDK adoption, gather developer feedback, and iterate on API design to continuously improve the integration experience
What are we looking for?
5+ years of professional Android development experience with strong proficiency in Kotlin (and Java where applicable)
Hands-on experience building and publishing Android libraries/SDKs (AAR/Gradle modules), including dependency management and publishing to Maven or private repositories
Solid understanding of Android architecture components (Lifecycle, ViewModel, WorkManager), threading models (coroutines, RxJava), and Android security best practices
Experience with RESTful APIs and network libraries (Retrofit, OkHttp), as well as testing frameworks such as JUnit, Mockito, and Espresso
Familiarity with ProGuard/R8 rules for SDK obfuscation and consumer rules
Full professional proficiency in English
You Get Bonus Points For
Prior experience in the cybersecurity industry or building mobile security SDKs
Experience with CI/CD pipelines for SDK publishing and automated testing
Familiarity with iOS SDK development or cross-platform considerations
