About the Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
We’re looking for a Senior Angular Developer to join our Digital Practice. In this role, you’ll bring software solutions to life - designing and building modern, responsive, and accessible web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences.
What You Will Do | Ngā haepapa
Develop responsive, accessible, and performant web applications in Angular and TypeScript using AI tools to assist where appropriate
Collaborate with designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into elegant web applications
Integrate front-end components with cloud-based services through RESTful APIs
Contribute to design and architecture decisions and advocate for best practices
Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with accompanying automated tests
Participate in code reviews, Scrum ceremonies, and continuous improvement initiatives
Mentor junior developers and share knowledge within the team
Stay up to date with technology trends and tools
What You’ll Bring | Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako
Must-Have:
5+ years of commercial experience in front-end development
Strong hands-on experience with Angular 10+, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS
Experience integrating with JSON-based RESTful APIs
Familiar with responsive design, accessibility standards (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility
Experience with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Able to quickly learn new technologies and patterns, and quickly adapt to changes in the field
Excellent time management, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Right to work in NZ
Nice-to-Have:
Experience with other front-end SPA frameworks (such as React and Vue)
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions)
Experience with Scrum, or other Agile-based frameworks and methodologies
Experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) to aid development
Understanding of front-end performance optimisation techniques
Knowledge of UX principles or experience working closely with UX/UI designers
