Job Description
Convergint is looking for a Senior Application Developer to join the Global IT Delivery Center in Bangalore. A Senior Application Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing software/IT tools and platforms. They will work closely with product management, solutions architect, and other stakeholders to deliver high-level estimates contributing to long-term roadmap decisions.
Responsibilities
• Design and develop in-house software/IT tools and platforms efficiently and precisely, adhering to standard code specifications
• Participate in the design process for application software as required
• Develop C# .Net Core applications in an Azure Platform as a Service environment
• Communicate within the development organization to solve complex programming problems and share knowledge/learnings
• Ensure continuous integration, automated testing, and quality releases on a regular basis
• Create user interface prototypes and document software and related code modules
• Write code and conduct unit tests
• Write detailed documentation as required
• Deliver in-house software to end-users, system installation, and training
• Participate in Agile Scrum software development sessions and through all software development life cycle phases
• Provide guidance and schedule or coordinate the work of less experienced co-workers as required
• Perform other duties assigned by management
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience
• Experience in .NET Core and framework (API, MVC, Class libraries, and Console), C#, design patterns, and DI
• Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS/React, and jQuery (Optional)
• Ability to work in a continuous improvement and change management culture, with experience evaluating technical delivery issues and risks, and actively evaluating opportunities to improve
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the proven ability to successfully manage timeliness and critical paths with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain objective and base recommendations and decisions on sound business principles and user requirements
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) and stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment
