As we grow, we are looking for a Senior/Lead Architect to join our team as a close partner to our CTO, helping shape the foundation of our technology and leading key strategic initiatives.
About The Role
As the Senior/Lead Architect at Tereina, you will play a crucial role in defining and executing our technical strategy. Collaborating closely with the CTO, you will establish core technology patterns, select key partners and tools, and drive the architecture of our embedded payment platform. This is a hands-on position where you will support and guide a small team actively engaged in engineering, helping them navigate complex challenges and overseeing critical cross-functional projects, such as ERP and banking integrations.
Key Responsibilities
• Architectural Leadership: Define the technology strategy and best practices for the engineering organization, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
• Hands-on Engineering: Actively engage in coding and problem-solving alongside your team on technically challenging projects. You will spend significant time directly contributing to the codebase, demonstrating new development patterns by example.
• Strategic Integrations: Lead major initiatives involving deep integrations with SAP ERP and banking/payment networks.
• Technology Selection: Evaluate and select the most suitable technology stack, tools, and partners to support our growth.
• Team Development: Mentor engineers and help establish inclusive, effective development practices across the organization.
• Collaboration & Execution: Work closely with product, engineering, and business teams to align technical decisions with business objectives.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Provide clear and concise directions to Architectural team members on projects in which the Architect serves as Project Discipline Lead. Take responsibility for layout and detailing of architectural projects. Independently coordinate the work of a multidiscipline team through multiple phases of a project; proactively request information needed to progress your work as well as inform others of information they need to complete their work. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conduct work sessions at project site in conjunction with Project Manager and other disciplines. Coordinate the workload of team members through multiple phases to complete documents on schedule and within budget. Prepare and update (on a weekly basis) project workplan/forecast. Review architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines. Write and edit architectural specifications and reports. Coordinate with and assist affected disciplines with construction bulletins, requests for information. Review construction phase submittals. Attend and lead project and discipline/department meetings as required. Ensure conformance of the discipline's work with customers and Salas O’Brien standards and practices.
