Global Institutional Banking Coverage (GIBC or Coverage) leads banking relationship management and the provision of transaction banking, risk management and capital solutions to our clients. The team’s purpose is to provide IB&M clients with solutions across the financing spectrum to support their strategic objectives. Our Coverage team manages key relationships with clients across the Diversified Industrials, Agriculture, Real Estate, Healthcare, Utilities and Infrastructure sectors, providing those clients a full range of services including capital and financing solutions tailored to their needs.
Sitting within Coverage’s Industrials team , in the role you will have direct exposure to large ASX listed companies, together with private equity, sovereign and infrastructure fund owned portfolio companies, and the opportunity to work closely with other product teams across IB&M.
Do work that matters:
As a Senior Associate, you will support the team’s senior bankers in delivering Coverage’s core purpose. You’ll play a key role in transaction execution, client relationship support, and portfolio management. This is a hands-on role with exposure to complex deals and high-profile clients, offering strong development opportunities.
Key elements of the role include:
Support the execution of transactions, including coordination with product partners and preparation of internal approval materials.
Assist with servicing day-to-day operational requirements across the client lifecycle.
Contribute to origination efforts by preparing pitch materials and conducting market and client research.
Build relationships with key client contacts and internal stakeholders across different levels.
Participate in portfolio management activities, including annual reviews, client planning and monitoring.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
3–5 years of relevant experience in banking, corporate finance, accounting or a related discipline.
Exposure to credit assessment, debt structuring or client-facing roles within corporate/institutional banking is advantageous.
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
Ability to quickly understand business drivers and adapt to new industries or clients.
Familiarity with institutional/corporate banking lending products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
