The Team

A&M’s Corporate Finance Team in Sydney is a dynamic, fast-growing service offering which supports clients by providing lead advisory services on mid-market buy and sell side M&A transactions. We advise across a range of sectors including Healthcare, TMT, Business Services, Industrials, Consumer, and Energy / Infrastructure. While M&A focused, our team uniquely offers exposure to a broad range of additional workstreams, including debt and equity capital raisings, and complex financial restructurings. As such, the role demands advanced analytical capability, disciplined project execution, and an ambitious mindset. The team fosters an entrepreneurial environment where team members take on early responsibility, gain direct client exposure, and have significant opportunities to progress.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions within a leading global firm rapidly growing its presence within the Australian market. The role provides a unique breadth in deal exposure, early responsibility and accelerated development within a dynamic high-performing environment

How you will contribute

Execute live M&A deals end-to-end, collaborating closely with senior team members and engaging directly with clients throughout the entire deal lifecycle
Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support buy and sell side transactions, capital raising and valuations; including forecasting, scenario analysis, and transaction structuring
Create high-quality transaction documentation, including pitch books, IM’s, marketing materials, term sheets, teasers, and other supporting materials to effectively communicate investment opportunities to clients and investors
Drive day-to-day deal execution, including timeline and workstream management, coordination with internal teams and external advisers
Conduct comprehensive market and sector research, analysing industry trends, market conditions, investor sentiment, and regulatory developments to inform strategy and recommendations
Facilitate and manage due diligence, including management presentations, investor Q&A, data room coordination, and documentation support.

Qualifications

A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with strong academic performance
2–4 years’ experience in investment banking, corporate finance, private equity, or a related financial field
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; structured thinking with the ability to extract insights from complex data
Excellent written and verbal communication; confident with engaging stakeholders at all levels
Highly organized; able to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure
Team-oriented, entrepreneurial, and performance-driven mindset; high energy and autonomy
Balance of strategic thinking and attention to detail
