The Opportunity

Join our growing team and take your career to the next level! This is an exciting growth opportunity to work on impactful and market-shaping transactions as a key team member in one of Australia’s most respected Corporate & Capital Markets practices, led by industry-leading partners Jonathan Algar and Stuart Byrne.

As an integral member of our expanding practice, you will act for domestic and global clients across sectors spanning technology, fin-tech, health, financial services and retail. You will play a lead role on Australian and cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, and public and private capital raisings including IPOs . You will also advise on strategic corporate matters, governance, shareholder activism and ASX listing rules.

As a Senior Associate in this team, you will have to opportunity to enhance and define your own professional brand and practice through investment and empowerment from the partners and other senior leaders across the firm. You’ll also play a key role in mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to their development and helping to shape the future of the practice.

Skills & Experience


To be successful in this role, you will have:

5+ years' experience post qualification experience within a distinguished corporate law practice, with demonstrated experience in the capacity as a Senior Associate

Equity capital markets experience would be desirable, but is not essential;

Strong project management skills, with the capability to lead transactions and drive matters forward with autonomy;

Highly developed commercial acumen and demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships;

Genuine team player with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills; and

A passion for mentoring junior lawyers and providing timely feedback to aid their development.
