Senior Associate, Java Backend Developer, Consumer Banking & Core Engine
Business Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Roles Responsibilities
• Write unit, functional, load and end-to-end tests.
• A strong sense of ownership
• Willingness and passion to learn new languages and methodologies, solve complex problems.
• Able to craft engaging customer experience.
• Write high quality, maintainable code.
• Own parts of the application and continuously improve them in an agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Pair with other developers and share design philosophy and goals across the team.
• Coordinate with cross functional teams (DevOps, Data, UX, Testing etc.) on planning and execution.
• Able to build and manage fully automated build/test/deployment environments.
Requirements
• Candidate should have 6 to + years hands-on Software Development experience using Java technologies.
• Proven working experience in Java Microservices development.
• Expertise in design and build end to end solutions based on Open Source technologies, APIs/Microservices in the Cloud (any PCF or AWS) environment.
• Hands on experience in Design patterns, and principles.
• Knowledge on Data Structures/Data base
• Good Working Knowledge of Java Concurrency libraries, collections and Java 8
• Scrum/Agile leadership/adoption experience.
• Experience with test-driven development using Junit, Mockito, Spring Testing
• Hands on experience in Devops tools like Jenkins, Sonar Cube, Fortify, etc. release automation tools, blue/green deployment.
• Adopt agile methodology, deliver effectively, efficiently, on-time, in-specification and in a cost-effective manner.
• Can work under dynamic change environment and have the right attitude to learn and implement
• AWS or any Cloud knowledge/hands-on.
• Ability to develop streaming applications using Kafka (kinesis, MQ is addon)
• Proficiency in tools Bitbucket, Maven, JIRA, SVN, Jenkins, SonarQube & Nexus.
• Familiar with monitoring tools – Grafana and ELK or any other.
