The Opportunity
As an Senior Associate or Special Counsel in our Dust Diseases practice based in Brisbane-CBD office, you’ll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice. Reporting to the National Practice Leader of Dust Diseases, you’ll work across multiple Australian jurisdictions for a team who has successfully represented victims and families of those suffering with: asbestos related diseases including mesothelioma, as well as silica induced injuries in the form of silicosis and autoimmune diseases, and coal miners black lung associated with the mining industry.
Our team has been at the forefront of pioneering silica induced autoimmune injury litigation with a number of legal firsts in linking diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma and lupus to silica dust exposure.

Providing the legal advice and representation our clients need and deserve to obtain maximum compensation across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
Progressing and resolving dust diseases matters.
Effectively assessing claims, including liability and quantum.
Cultivating strong relationships with our clients through exceptional communication and clear management of expectations.
Preparing legal documentation with a high degree of detail, and manage and run a file load with a keen level of commercial and fiscal awareness.
Working as one team and actively supporting and mentoring junior team members.
What you’ll bring
To thrive in this role, you’ll have:
A Bachelor of Laws with a current practising certificate.
Significant post-admission experience in workers' compensation and public liability litigation will make your application competitive.
The desire to specialise in dust diseases litigation.
A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
A nous to problem solve independently and collaboratively.
An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo, and always stay ahead of the pack.
