Senior Associate – Tech Lead-(WD42551)

Job Purpose:-

Tech Lead will be responsible owner for the Linux environment hosted in Datacentre. Person will work closely with App Support, System Administrator and Region on delivery priorities, delivery quality, situation mgmt & cost reduction. In addition to service line delivery, person will work as Technical escalation point for Linux estate and also be responsible for team management.

Key Accountabilities:-
• Team Management
• Expertise in Linux and good knowledge in Linux, AIX and Middleware
• Vendor management
• Patch, Vulnerable and Security Management
• Budgeting, Audit and Risk management.

Job Duties & responsibilitie s:
• Responsible for overall delivery in coordination with App Support and System Administrator for Linux service line.
• Works with and drives forward improvements within the managed teams
• Acts as a referral point for issues, escalations and complaints.
• Crisis Management
• Manages and contribute OTACE/CSAT for owned services.
• Ensures and maintain Linux servers uptime.
• Provides analysis, feedback and actions based on trends, root cause analysis and other reports.
• Drive and participate in various service excellence initiatives.
• Team management / ramp up/ ramp down, skills retention, attrition management and appraisals.
• Manage people performance, skills, motivation and growth
• Good knowledge of System Administration both theoretical and practical on Linux operating systems and jboss, tomcat apache & MQ Middleware
• Should have very good knowledge and understanding on Linux architecture and management
• Knowledge in Security Management by server hardening, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixing
• Should have good diagnostics and analysis skills to resolve technical problems.
• Fair knowledge on ITIL process and Practices
• Should understand the criticality of core business functions and perform file transfer as and when requested by business teams.
• Basic Knowledge on Redhat, SAN / NAS storage management will have added advantage
• Basic knowledge on scripting will be added advantage
• Has budget responsibility for Servers Hardware and OS Services including assigned staff, other operational expenses and capital plans for basis business growth.
• Provide leadership in the areas of problem identification and resolution, answering questions, providing advice, troubleshooting, and ensuring follow-up on all issues.
• Coordinate problem resolution with IT subject matter experts, other departments or outside vendors as appropriate. Track and report recurring problems and assign personnel for appropriate follow up to resolve the issues. Manage projects and report on status of projects and resources.
• Provide ongoing support and management of department staff, including coaching, motivating, evaluating, and disciplining.

Experience:-
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in managing Linux Environment
• Experienced people leader with relevant technical skills to lead the team
• Proven ability to mentor and grow the skill set of team members
• Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, project and personnel management skills
• The ideal candidate would embody the following traits: versatile, flexible, and a willing to work within fast paced environments with enthusiasm
• Broad information technology knowledge of all aspects of Linux support
• Experience in Linux and Cloud and other monitoring tool
• Independent thinking and ability to demonstrate good judgment required.

Minimum Qualification – Graduate (Computer Information Systems / Engg)

• Woking relationship with Head Office, and. various departments within Bank.
• Supervise outsourced resident engineer and third party service providers.
• Establishing relationship with vendors & Central support team
