About the role :

We are looking for a communicator, a thinker and a doer who naturally builds relationships that lead to results. You will be able to transition seamlessly from thinking strategically about new business relationships (with donors / clients / investors / INGOs) to managing the relationships and executing new pilot initiatives.
We have a small and energetic team, and this is a roll-up-your-sleeves kind of role. We want someone who first and foremost has a positive attitude.
In addition, you are creative, a problem solver, who knows how to push the envelope, and is an incredibly fast learner.
Business Development / Advisory Services
• Grow and develop strategic initiatives and get involved in organization-wide operational efforts such as partnerships development
• Support the Founder and CEO in developing proposals for product development and advisory assignments
• Lead and assist in fund raising efforts for advisory projects
• Able to work with a variety of stakeholders including MNCs, INGOs, DFIs and governmental bodies
• Oversee and manage the delivery of advisory assignments for clients
• Cultivate and close relationships with individual partners to enhance IIX's visibility, access, and influence, while developing a broader platform for further pipeline building
• Create and direct new business opportunities
• Develop an understanding of IIX's strategy and preferred approach for partnerships and program fundraising
• Contribute to the overall development of IIX by collaborating with other strategic initiatives and organization-wide operational efforts.
The position is based remotely and the successful candidate will report directly to the Founder and CEO of IIX.
To be a successful Senior Associate / Manager with IIX, you should have :
At least 4+ years of relevant work experience in the following areas is preferred :
oManagement consulting : Experience working in management consulting and / or advisory consulting companies.
oOperational : Experience working in or with growth-stage enterprises, ideally as an entrepreneur or the pioneer founding team
• International development experience with an internationally focused foundation, corporate foundation, non-profit, or bilateral or multilateral donors is a plus
• Bachelors / Masters in any relevant liberal arts subjects, Business Administration or Public Policy.
• Demonstrated technical expertise and professional experience working in one of IIX's five priority sectors : energy, agriculture, water, health, and education.
• Experience in fund-raising and winning advisory assignments
• Field level development work experience, preferably in Asia and the Pacific.
• Positive, proactive and self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Excellent proficiency working in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel.
