Job Description
The Senior AWS CDK Engineer with 4-+ years of experience will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure using AWS and the AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK). Key tasks include leveraging AWS services like VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and DynamoDB, and automating deployments, configuration, and management of cloud resources with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using TypeScript. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and cost-effective cloud solutions, implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, and ensure cloud resources are configured securely, including setting up appropriate access controls and encryption.
They will troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues, continuously monitor performance, optimize resource utilization, and reduce costs. The role also involves staying current with AWS services, documenting infrastructure designs, and contributing to high availability and disaster recovery strategies.
A strong background in Object-Oriented Design, Microservices, and Application Integration Patterns is essential, along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills. A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required. The candidate will play a critical role in driving infrastructure excellence across the organization.
