Senior Azure SQL Database Developer
Join our team as a skilled SQL Developer to contribute to the design, development, and management of our Azure database infrastructure and SQL-based applications.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced professional with deep expertise in SQL development, including hands-on experience in Azure SQL Database, Azure Parallel Data Warehouse, Linked Servers, and Database Replication. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing database performance, implementing and managing linked servers, and ensuring the smooth replication of data across various systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and manage Azure database infrastructure and SQL-based applications.
• Optimize database performance, implement and manage linked servers, and ensure data replication across systems.
Requirements
• 10-15 years of experience as an SQL Developer, Database Developer, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure SQL Database, Azure Data Services, and Azure Parallel Data Warehouse (PDW).
• In-depth knowledge of SQL Server Replication, including Transactional, Merge, and Snapshot replication.
• Expertise in configuring and maintaining Linked Servers in SQL Server environments.
• Strong performance tuning skills for SQL Server and Azure SQL environments, including query optimization, indexing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with Azure SQL Server performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization tools.
• Strong understanding of T-SQL for developing stored procedures, triggers, and complex queries.
• Familiarity with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools for data migration and transformation.
• Knowledge of Azure Active Directory integration with databases and cloud security best practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills
• Certifications in Microsoft SQL Server or Azure SQL Database.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of Azure SQL tasks.
• Familiarity with Azure Data Factory for data orchestration.
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases or hybrid data storage solutions.
• Agile/Scrum experience in a database development environment.
