Join us at Dapper as a Senior Backend Engineer, where we focus on the intersection of blockchain and gaming. Our flagship projects Disney Pinnacle, NBA Top Shot and NFL All Day, are blockchain-based digital collectibles platforms that leverage sophisticated technology. We are seeking a Backend Engineer with a passion for growth and results to advance our server-side infrastructure as we navigate the challenges of scaling and optimizing, while also delivering innovative features in sports and other domains. You will play a crucial role in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, continually deploying to an enthusiastic and global audience, helping to pioneer new territories in blockchain and entertainment.
What we’ll achieve together:
Design, architect, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
Optimize and ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our backend systems.
Develop complex server-side logic to integrate with blockchain technologies and handle high-volume transactions.
Implement comprehensive monitoring for system performance, and proactively optimize when necessary.
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for system architecture and backend processes.
Collaborate closely with mobile & frontend teams to design and implement cohesive and integrated solutions.
Tackle and resolve complex technical issues, and lead efforts across all phases of the development lifecycle.
Ensure the highest level of performance and responsiveness to requests from the frontend.
Oversee database interactions and data flow within the server environment.
Utilize source control tools such as Git for versioning and collaboration.

Extensive experience in backend development, with a strong mastery of server-side languages such as GoLang.
Deep understanding of managing server environments and principles of scalable architecture.
Experienced with Agile development methodologies and dynamic team collaboration.
A strategic thinker and solution-driven developer who can adapt to evolving project demands and deliver high-quality results.
Passionate about blockchain technology and its applications in gaming and digital collectibles.

Proven track record of architecting, deploying, and managing cloud-based server environments.
Strong expertise with databases and server-side integration with various database technologies.
