Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who can own core backend systems, ship fast, and build scalable infrastructure to power intelligent agent workflows and AI-native applications. If you enjoy designing production-grade systems, scaling real-world AI workloads, and diving deep into systems design—this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Scale Backend Systems: Build and scale high-performance backend systems using Python (FastAPI), ensuring modular, efficient architecture aligned with product goals.
Cloud Deployment and Optimization: Deploy, monitor, and optimize cloud-native applications on AWS or Azure for reliability and scalability.
LLM Integration and
Collaboration:
Work closely with AI and product teams to integrate LLM pipelines (e.g., Lang Chain, Llama Index) into backend services.
Leadership and Engineering Culture: Independently lead projects, mentor junior engineers, set code quality standards, and contribute to a fast-paced, high-ownership engineering culture.
Must-Have Qualifications
Backend Expertise: 5+ years of experience in Python, with strong proficiency in FastAPI, and solid CS fundamentals including data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns.
Scalable Systems: Proven ability to design and scale production-grade systems, with a deep understanding of architecture and trade-offs.
Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, including deployment, CI/CD, observability, and cost optimization.
AI & Ownership: Strong ownership mindset with experience delivering end-to-end solutions, including AI-native backends using Lang Chain, Llama Index, etc.
Experience with agent frameworks like Autogen, Semantic Kernel, CrewAI, or Auto Chain, along with exposure to vector databases, embedding pipelines, and retrieval-based systems.
Background in Fin Tech or internal tools, with a strong passion for developer experience and infrastructure innovation.
