Established in 2020, MUFG Enterprise Solutions India Private Limited (MES India) is 100% subsidiary of MUFG Bank Ltd having offices in Bengaluru and Mumbai. MES India has been set up as a Global Capability Centre / Centre of Excellence to provide support services across various functions such as IT, KYC/ AML, Credit, Operations etc. to MUFG Bank offices globally. With a current headcount of around 250, MES India has plans to significantly ramp-up its growth over the next 18-24 months while servicing MUFG’s global network across Americas, EMEA and Asia Pacific.
Job Profile
Purpose of Role:
The role supports the Head of Middle Office Department (based in Singapore) with implementing short- & medium-term strategy, providing project support across key initiatives as well as the immediate function. The individual will be a vital support for Middle Office Department (MOD) in relation to data analysis & presentations, status reporting strategic planning, control & governance, as well as audit. He/She will be required to liaise closely with senior management, offshore stakeholders, regulators, and external auditors as required.
Main Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and oversee execution of assigned strategic project deliverables for MOD
• Create and maintain various reporting (e.g. KYC Exception / Past Due / AML), data sets and presentations for senior management & stakeholders
• Support regulatory, compliance and audit data requests and ensure maintenance of procedures
• Support BAU governance forums, provide strategic project support, monitoring project progress, and ensuring on time completion
• Liaise across departments on new workflows, build relationships, and implement process enhancements
• Build business cases that support decisions to ensure optimal solutions are based on both commercial and business requirements
• Collaborate with our partners including IT to drive and support enhancements and system improvements
• Identify and recommend new ways to streamline business processes
• Assist with special projects and implementation of department initiative as appropriate
• Ensure maintenance of procedures and audit readiness across MOD function
• Conduct data quality checks, document impact / gap analysis, and testing
Candidate Profile:
• A degree in Finance, Business Administration with 8+ years of experience in front office management environment, ideally within Corporate & Investment Banking context
• Experienced in planning, problem solving, implementing solutions & process improvements, and project management with focus on organizational change
• At a minimum, advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel & Power Point, macros, SQL are required, experience with visualization tools an advantage
• Good communication, stakeholder management and conflict resolution skills, consensus building ability, highly organized & detail oriented, with structured and logical approach
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing priorities, completing milestones, and working towards multiple deadlines simultaneously
• Capacity to challenge the status quo and adaptability to change, following strict compliance culture
• Broad knowledge of investment and corporate banking products and services and how they impact or support clients across sectors / regions is highly advantageous, and strong analytical skills are essential
