Software Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team. As a key member, you will be responsible for shaping the quality-first mindset and vision for large-scale banking software products. This involves working closely with leadership teams, engineering teams, PMs, business experts, and other stakeholders to leverage shift-left methods and understand the banking domain.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, Agile processes, and development cycles. Experience in testing and debugging web, mobile applications (Android/iOS), and backend applications is essential. Additionally, hands-on experience in automating scripts using tools like Selenium, Appium, Cypress, Playwright, etc., is required.
You will be responsible for creating comprehensive test plans and cases, managing test coverage through periodic reports, and ensuring overall system quality prior to customer release. Researching test tools, methodologies, and trends in the industry and upgrading existing practices and processes is also expected.
Key responsibilities include:
• Partnering with engineering teams and stakeholders to understand business needs, impact areas, system architecture, and come up with testing requirements and feasibility for Test Automation.
• Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
• Creating comprehensive and well-structured Test Strategy, Test Plans, and Test cases.
• Setting up and implementing test automation strategy from Functional and Non-functional perspective for various banking products starting with Loan Origination Platform.
• Building and maintaining automation frameworks and libraries for Web, Mobile, and Backend applications.
You should have:
• 3-7 years of work experience as a Software engineer or SDET.
• Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, Agile processes, and development cycles.
