Overview
We are seeking a Senior BI Developer to strengthen and enhance the analytics and visualization capabilities within the MARVEL platform. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Power BI, Spotfire, and modern BI engineering practices.
This role will be hands-on, focusing on optimizing dashboards, improving data performance, and enabling AI-driven analytics to support business decision-making. The candidate will also contribute to proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives for evaluating alternative BI platforms beyond Spotfire.
Key Responsibilities
• Enhance, optimize, and troubleshoot existing Spotfire dashboards and infrastructure to improve performance, scalability, and usability.
• Design and develop custom BI dashboards, reports, and data models using Power BI and Spotfire.
• Build AI-enabled analytics solutions, leveraging advanced visualizations, automated insights, and predictive capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions aligned with business needs.
• Analyze data workflows, identify bottlenecks, and streamline data processes for maximum efficiency.
• Support Proof-of-Concept (POC) evaluations for alternative BI tools, contributing technical insights and solution comparisons.
• Ensure adherence to data quality standards, performance guidelines, and best development practices.
• Work closely with data engineering, analytics, and platform teams to integrate BI solutions within the MARVEL ecosystem.
Required Skills & Experience
• 4–6 years of proven experience in Business Intelligence development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI and TIBCO Spotfire (dashboard creation, data modelling, performance tuning).
• Experience troubleshooting BI performance issues and optimizing dashboards.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL workflows, and data pipelines.
• Ability to create advanced visualizations, DAX queries, and calculated metrics.
• Understanding of AI-driven analytics, predictive modeling basics, or integration with AI tools (preferred).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced Agile or cross-functional environments.
Nice-to-Have
• Exposure to Python/R for analytics automation.
• Experience evaluating different BI tools/platforms.
• Experience in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP) for BI integration.
