Role Summary
WSP is currently seeking a Civil 3D Engineer to join our Bangalore office. The primary duties of the Civil3D Engineer are to support Infrastructure Project Managers and other Engineers within our T&I Rail & Transit group in the development of civil design plans, specifications, and cost estimates for a variety of Infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities
• Leading development of and performance specifications and civil3D design to meet project requirements;
• Reviewing design standard variances and obtaining stakeholders buy-in;
• Reviewing and providing written comments for design and technical proposal submissions by consultants and/or design-build consortium;
• Working cooperatively with counterparts in other departments in order to meet client requirements;
• Representing the client on all assigned technical matters relating to your expertise in design;
• Facilitating and attending technical and/or progress meetings as required, reviewing progress reports, and endorsing invoices for services;
• Reviewing and/or preparing various reports and other correspondence related to project technical issues, witnessing and/or coordinating tests and inspections of the design components and systems, and evaluating their performance;
• Supporting quality control/quality assurance and safety certification processes;
• Provide information, advice, support and recommendations regarding operating and administrative issues, rules, procedures, standards, budgets, etc, to employees and management staff, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders;
• Other duties as assigned/required
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related engineering discipline from an accredited University;
• 5 years of hands-on experience in Infrastructure Civil3D designs from conceptual to detailed design;
• Experience in developing alignment, Plan and Profile, cross sections working in Civil3D, AutoCAD and
• Experience in Navisworks.
• Experience in BIM360 & Bently Project wise.
• Integration with Track, Electrification Systems (OCS and 3rd rail) is required;
• Ability to handle multiple projects and make sound business decisions in a timely manner to adapt to changing situations;
• Ability to motivate and co-ordinate the efforts of others to accomplish objectives;
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills in conjunction with innovative thinking;
• An innovative thinker able to challenge existing practices and arrive at effective solutions;
• Identify the repetitive task and create a script with Civil 3D Dynamo / Python.
• Create Parametric Revit and Open Building Design Family’s and Cells
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
