About the role:
Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is looking for an experienced Senior Business Application Engineer who has worked in the Business Systems team to make systems/processes more efficient, reduce manual, low-value work, and enable the company to run better, make better choices, and ultimately be more profitable. Our company is unique in that we are a truly hybrid hardware and SaaS business. This creates new challenges in both Order-to-Cash and financial processes. We are seeking a creative, intellectually curious individual to collaborate and solve these complex needs.
We are seeking a skilled QA Test Automation with 3-4 years of experience in automating testing processes for NetSuite. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, developing and executing automated test scripts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and efficiency of business operations through automated testing solutions.
This hybrid position requires 3 days per week in our Bangalore office and 2 days working remotely. This position requires working hours in IST. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this role.

In this role, you will:
• Automate Test Script Creation: Develop and maintain automated test scripts using existing automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG), focusing on test case execution without the need for scripting.
• NetSuite Testing: Automate and execute test scripts for NetSuite ERP modules, ensuring the functionality of business processes and customizations within the system.
• Testing Automation Implementation: Manage and run automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous integration and delivery.
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with developers, Business Analyst, and NetSuite administrators to understand testing requirements and implement automated testing solutions.
• Defect Management: Identify, document, and track defects in NetSuite and other systems, ensuring prompt follow-up and resolution with the development team.
• Test Reporting: Provide clear test execution reports and communicate results with key stakeholders.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in the QA Automation field.
• Ensure that all automation solutions adhere to security and compliance standards.
• Implement best practices for data protection and privacy.
• Provide support for key month/quarter-end close processes (on call).
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara's cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
Minimum requirements for the role:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent to at least 5+ years of experience.
• 3-4 years of experience in automation testing using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or other similar automation platforms.
• 3+ Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP testing processes, including functional and regression testing.
• Strong knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman (no coding required).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
• Understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and Agile methodologies.
An ideal candidate also has:
• Familiarity with cloud environments like AWS or Azure, and containerization tools (e.g., Docker).
• Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter.
• Experience working with NetSuite administrators for automating business workflows and testing.
• Basic knowledge of security testing automation tools (without scripting requirements).
• Coding and scripting abilities for custom activities within the platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Work ethic: You do what it takes to make a project go well. You are equally comfortable taking personal ownership of a task as delegating it.
• Able to handle ambiguity and work effectively in a fast-paced and fluid environment for a mid to enterprise-sized organization.
• Proven experience in optimizing and enhancing automation processes over time.
• QA certifications are advantageous.
