Responsible for providing Business Intelligence (BI) report development, creation of datasets, marts and warehouses. This will also entail supporting and analysing large and complex business data in partnership with internal business teams. The role will entail driving the use and ongoing adoption of data and analytics for our internal and external customers across the globe. This role will lead on innovation and development whilst promoting and delivering best practice in the business intelligence field. This will also include the improvement of legacy systems whilst designing for the future by utilizing the latest tools, processes and disciplines in Business Intelligence. This position works under limited supervision and exercises decision making authority and you’ll need to adopt an all-encompassing approach to BI from the requirements gathering to the development, user acceptance testing, deployment to production and documentation, and platform maintenance and monitoring.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide subject matter expertise within the BI team, identifying and implementing process improvements that drive efficiency and return on investment using BI strategies and tools
Develop a broad range of, often complex, reports using strategic Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools these to SAP Business Objects, Power BI, Power BI Paginated reports, Crystal Reports, SSRS and (Structured Query Language) SQL Server Reporting Services.
Research and prepare business reports to a high standard and in line with the current suite of published customer reports.
Participate and provide guidance where required, in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) submitting work for technical test, cosmetic test and applying re-work when required.
Coordinate and maintain the reporting requirements backlog, working with stakeholders to deliver value at the right time.
Lead the creation of new reporting and improvement to existing reporting commitments
Responsible for the BI system infrastructure availability and batch support in partnership with Technology teams.
Lead and implement continuous improvements to the BI outputs as part of RCA’s (Root Cause Analysis) following incidents.
Develop and deliver BI requirements as part of the global project teams for new and existing customers including dashboard design and development.
Comply with Cubic’s values and adherence to all company policy and procedures. In particular comply with the code of conduct, quality, security and occupational health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.
Creating interactive and highly informative Power BI/Paginated reports using advanced DAX features.
Providing support for Power BI Services in creating workspaces/apps and managing users.
Providing solution for developing, migrating to Cloud Technology (Azure).
Platform management with respect to monitoring, scheduling, incident management, and other tasks related to ensuring platform stability and performance.
Provide support, data and insights to the business to support project and BAU requirements globally.
Solution design/architecture inputs for both new and established environments and provide regular and ad-hoc data analysis to key business units across the business.
Provide ad-hoc and scheduled support for regional, and global initiatives/projects
In addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the job holder is required to perform other duties assigned by their manager from time-to-time, as may be reasonably required of them.
To work UK time zones as agreed with manager and other potential times if needed.

Qualifications
Essential:
Bachelor and/or Post Graduate qualifications in a related field
Skills/Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
Must have at least 5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence related role(s).
Experience of interfacing with internal and external stakeholders and communicating with a varied audience.
Proven expertise in creating Power BI datasets, data marts, dashboards, using external tools like DAX Editor, Tabular Editor and skills in using Power BI/Paginated reports.
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases, using CETAS querying serverless/dedicated sql pool.
Proven expertise on working with Azure ADF/Data Flow/Synapse and experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Pyspark).
Experience of using Azure functions, logic apps, Azure Devops, build pipelines & configuring with GIT for CI/CD.
Proven expertise on working SharePoint and automate using Power Automate.
Experience of working wtih SAP Business Objects (Webi, Universes, Crystal) and report development.
Strong business analysis skills with an ability to understand complex business process and ability to using a JIRA tool.
Strong understanding of relational database design and dimensional modelling.
Experience in BI development cycle and BI best practices.
Desirable:
Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, or Azure Synapse.
Experience with data science and programing I.e., Python, R, Machine Learning.
Microsoft Azure cloud experience (theory and practical).
Microsoft BI/Analytics/Azure Certified E.g. (MSCA, MCSE) or working towards.
Experience with agile methodologies, ITIL and Prince 2 are also highly regarded.
Experience or knowledge of agile methodologies – ITIL, Prince2 are also highly regarded.
Experience of using multiple ETL tools, Qlik sense, Talend etc.
Experience of working on Databricks and streaming datasets.
Experience of training or leading technical colleagues.
Certification in Power BI / Data Engineering, Azure fundamentals.
Working with Azure ADF/Data Flow/Synapse/Databricks and experience in one or more object-oriented programming languages (e.g. Python, Pyspark).
