Lightcast is a trusted advisor on labor market information for customers across a wide array of markets. We build SaaS products that combine many different kinds of workforce data to accurately inform our clients’ decisions about college course offerings, hiring, site selection, economic development, and much more. We need an experienced developer to join us in producing premier software tools for understanding labor market data.
We are looking for a C++ Senior Software Engineer to work in a global company with products and teams across the globe.
Qualifications – B.E/B.Tech In Computer Science/IT From a Reputed Institution
Experience - 2 to 6 years
Responsibilities
• Work with C/C++/Python/Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment.
• Take direct requirements from the business team.
• Design and implement services, micro-services, and components meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Unit test cases preparation and code review.
• Implement performance and quality improvements in services/components.
• Cross-functional team coordination across the globe.
• Product delivery, test report submission, and documentation.
• Product version control (data and source).
• Participate in the agile development process.
• Training and mentorship
Proficiencies
• Minimum 2 years of experience in C/C++ and fair experience in Python/continuous integration/continuous deployment.
• Experience with a cloud platform such as AWS is essential.
• Development and debugging experience in Visual Studio and KDevelop.
• Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment.
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills while solving a problem and optimizing the overall application.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills while dealing with tough scenarios during the coding, development, and testing phases.
• Experience in developing service-oriented architectures and understanding design for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Strong Communication Skills (Verbal and Written).
• Team-oriented and ready to work closely with other developers.
Great candidates also have
• Knowledge of Modern C++ (C++11/C++14/C++17) is required.
• Experience in XML, HR XML, JSON, GDB, gRPC, RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch added advantage.
• Exposure to Docker (Containerization) & Orchestration (Kubernetes) is a big plus.
• Knowledge of tools such as GitLab, TeamCity and GoCD are nice to have.
• Exposure to Unicode / Internationalization would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Text Mining, NLP, and Machine learning frameworks like Tensorflow preferred.
• Experience in memory leak analysis tools and static code analysis/profiling tools
