You will be responsible for
Job Summary:
This will be a significant role which will bridge the processes between Buying teams, Suppliers and other Teams in Tesco to enable
effective Product journey. Support the Category Planning Manager in delivering trade plan and range strategies, ensuring
competitiveness, compliance, and timely execution of category initiatives.
In this job, I’m accountable for:
Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence and have these specific risk responsibilities:
Assist in trade plan strategy development, including planning, briefing, and Tesco Media engagement.
Manage critical path timelines for promotions and range changes, ensuring all milestones are met.
Conduct competitiveness checks and validate promotional mechanics against approved lists.
Prepare and maintain range plan documents, including customer decision trees, rate-of-sale analysis, and post-launch reviews.
Coordinate launch communications and store-ready documentation for new ranges and promotions.
Support reporting and insights, including market data analysis, promo effectiveness, and range performance metrics.
Ensure standardisation of reporting, trade plan sheets, and promotional loading processes.
Promote CI culture by contributing to process improvement projects and innovation within planning workflows.
