Our client is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Catering Operations Manager to lead their remote event catering operations. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage and coordinate high-profile catering events from anywhere. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of event execution, ensuring exceptional culinary experiences and seamless service delivery. This role demands a strong leader with extensive knowledge of event planning, food and beverage management, and client relations.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of catering services for a variety of events, working remotely with on-site teams. Developing and managing event menus in collaboration with culinary teams, ensuring quality and client satisfaction. Managing event logistics, including staffing, equipment, transportation, and vendor coordination. Ensuring adherence to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP). Developing and managing budgets for each event, optimizing costs without compromising quality. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring exceptional service delivery. Recruiting, training, and managing event catering staff and on-site supervisors. Conducting post-event evaluations and implementing improvements for future events. Managing inventory and procurement of food, beverages, and supplies. Staying updated with industry trends and innovative catering solutions. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, Business Administration, or a related field. A diploma from a reputable culinary or hospitality institute is highly advantageous. A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in catering management, with a significant focus on event coordination and operations, is required. Proven experience in managing large-scale events remotely is essential. Strong leadership,communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are critical. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure is a must. Experience with event management software and a deep understanding of food and beverage operations are expected.
