Job Description

As the Data / AI Solution Architect you will be thrust into the forefront of technological innovation, where your expertise will shape the future of Generative AI (GenAI) tools. Your role demands a mastery in designing, architecting, and prototyping AI solutions that are versatile enough to be deployed across various platforms. Your proficiency in Python will be crucial, and you will also be expected to have a robust understanding of system design and architecture, particularly in crafting microservice architectures. Your ability to navigate and manipulate databases using SQL will be required, as will your proficiency with GenAI and LLM models, which are essential for the data science and engineering aspects of your role.

In this position, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technical solutions that meet the needs of mission stakeholders. Your responsibility extends to the creation of GenAI agents capable of synthesizing information from diverse inputs and data corpuses. Ensuring traceability of the generated information back to its source will be a critical aspect of your work. Moreover, you will develop searchable source metadata catalogues, enhancing the accessibility and organization of information. A key part of your role will involve implementing verification processes to prevent AI hallucination, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of content produced by AI agents.

To excel in this role, experience with AWS cloud architecture will be highly beneficial, as many of the systems you'll be prototyping will be cloud-based. While not mandatory, knowledge of Java will serve as a valuable asset in your toolkit. You will be expected to navigate the complexities of AI model implementation in a mission-driven environment and your ability to innovate and prototype AI agents across multiple platforms will be crucial, as will your commitment to maintaining the veracity of the information generated by these systems. Your success in this role will be defined by your technical acumen, your ability to work collaboratively within a team, and your drive to push the boundaries of what is possible with AI technology.

Here is what you need:

• 8+ years of experience in Data, AI or Systems/Solutions Architecture

• Experience with design, architect, and prototype generative AI tools deployable on multiple platforms

• Experience with Python and SQL

• Experience with system design and architecture

• Experience with AI, large language models

• Experience with Microservice architecture development

• Experience with GenAI and LLM Model expertise

• Understanding of AWS cloud architecture

• Bachelors degree

Bonus if you have:

• Certifications related to AI model development and implementation

• Experience with financial data (institutions, transactions, etc.)

• Experience with Agentic AI

• Experience with Java

Security Clearance:

• Active TS/SCI with polygraph clearance

Role description:

Arcadis is looking to hire a Senior Civil Engineer who has extensive experience working on civil engineering projects for the United States Federal Government.

In this role, you will work directly with other Civil Engineers, Engineers from different disciplines, Project Managers, clients, and others on Federal Agency facility design projects. You will lead the civil discipline on multiple concurrent projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction phases.

This is a remote role, but will require 35% domestic travel to service federal clients and their projects.

Role accountabilities:

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary coordination

• Manage clients through all phases of the relationship

• Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project plans, and staffing plans, and identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities. The ideal candidate would be well-networked within the US Federal Government and or its Agencies

• Contribute technically to projects in areas where qualified to support work prepared by the respective disciplines

• Fluency in design and modeling software that includes: Civil 3D, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, SpecsIntact (must have)

• Travel to project sites for engineering site surveys, client meetings, and other related work requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

• U.S. citizenship is required for this position as part of federal employment eligibility requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in civil engineering with at least 10 years of experience in consulting engineering and performing facility design

• Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities

• Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States. Multiple state licenses are preferred

• Strong communication skills related to presentations, project communications, and written documents
