My client are a growing multi-disciplinary Consultancy who have a growing presence across the UK. Due to a recent project win, their Head Office is looking to take on a Civils Technician to work on a number of new and exciting developments.
The role will ideally suit a HND graduate who has experience using AutoCAD/Civil in a professional capacity and that is looking for a career within Civil Engineering and in particular the design of Roads and Drainage schemes.
You will have a Certificate in HND/HNC Civil Engineering and be or near a qualified Engineering Technician (EngTech) with a minimum of 5 years of solid experience on Infrastructure Development Projects. It is essential that you are fully conversant with industry-standard design software packages AutoCAD, AutoTrack and Civil 3D and a good understanding of Navisworks, Revit and MicroDrainage. Experience in 3D Pipework and surface modelling in Civil 3D and use of Navisworks is required as well as being fully conversant with Civil Engineering standards, Sewers for Adoption and Building Regulations.
The role will be centred around draughting designs, produced whilst working alongside Civil Engineers, for highways and drainage developments that are in accordance with Section 38s, 104s and 278s of the NRSWA.
This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers in one of the area's best Consultancies. You will be involved in the assistance in the preparation of drainage drawings for Residential and Retail developments in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You will also assist with the presentation of General Arrangement drawings; assist in site visits and general administrative work.
