As a Senior Civil Technician, you will be part of an organisation that is 100-percent employee owned, that supports and creates many opportunities for you to advance, succeed and fulfil your career aspirations.
In the role of Senior Civils 3D Technician, we'll count on you to:
• Assist senior staff by producing clear legible drawings and models to company standards.
• Produce clear legible drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civils 3D software in accordance with company standards.
• Document control of all information received from external sources ensuring the latest information is always easily found and up to date.
• Integrate Quality Assurance procedures.
• Liaise with other members of the design team in-house and occasionally the Architect and contractor to coordinate a design package.
• Assist in maintaining BIM and CAD standards for BES civils.
Preferred Qualifications
• HND or equivalent in relevant subject
• Proficiency using AutoCAD
• Experience using Autodesk Civils 3D (Essential)
• Understanding of building elements, structure, foundation options and external works.
• Basic understanding of below ground drainage, attenuation, flow control, SuDS features and pollution control.
• Basic understanding of below ground services which may include Power, Water and telecommunications.
• Basic understanding of the construction design team, tender and construction process.
• Experience and understanding of urban road design.
• Experience with undertaking cut and fill proposals.
Required Qualifications
• Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience
• Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
• Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools
• Experience with 3D Coordination tools
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential
• Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts
