Job description:
Our team is growing, and we are actively looking to hire a Senior Claim Advisor, Bodily Injury focused professional to join our team! Reporting to the Bodily Injury Claims Manager, you will be responsible for investigating and settling Bodily Injury cases by thoroughly examining coverage, liability, and quantum, while adhering to territorial quality and disposition guidelines.

Role Designation: Remote

Accountabilities:

Interpret insurance policy wordings and maintain a proactive diary system to keep files updated

Investigate losses for valid coverage & collaborate with underwriting as required

Determine liability and quantum assessment on files with moderate to high complexity

Maintain appropriate reserves based on exposure

Comply with file handling & service standards as outlined in Best Practices

Participate in various file committees as required and work closely with defense counsel on some litigation files with agreed upon complexity

Negotiate settlements with plaintiffs and solicitors to resolve claims within authority granted

Understanding of legislative changes and trends in the insurance industry and assist in strategy development as needed

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years Bodily Injury Claims experience

Ability to handle injury claims of moderate to high complexity

Strong time management and organizational skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Strong critical thinking skills to identify strengths and weaknesses of claim

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a commitment to proving outstanding customer service

Enrolled in, or completion of, CIP designation is an asset

Bilingualism is an asset

Description du poste :

Notre équipe, en plein essor, est à la recherche d’un conseiller ou d’une conseillère principal·e en dommages corporels. Relevant de la directrice ou du directeur, dommages corporels, la ou le titulaire du poste sera responsable de réaliser des enquêtes et de régler des dossiers de dommages corporels en examinant méticuleusement les garanties applicables, la responsabilité civile et le montant des dommages, et ce, dans le respect des lignes directrices territoriales sur la qualité et le règlement.

Désignation du rôle : À domicile

Responsabilités :

Interpréter le libellé des contrats d’assurance et tenir les dossiers à jour de façon proactive au moyen d’un système de journal.

Enquêter sur les sinistres de sorte à établir les garanties valides et collaborer avec la Souscription, au besoin.

Déterminer la responsabilité civile et le montant des dommages pour des dossiers moyennement et hautement complexes.

Établir les provisions appropriées en fonction de l’exposition aux risques et les tenir à jour.

Observer les normes de traitement des dossiers et de service telles qu’énoncées dans les pratiques exemplaires.

Participer à divers comités sur les dossiers, au besoin, et travailler étroitement avec l’avocat·e de la défense dans le cadre de dossiers en litiges en fonction du champ de complexité convenu.

Négocier avec les plaignants et les représentants pour régler les réclamations lorsque le degré d’autorité le permet.

Comprendre les changements législatifs et les tendances du secteur de l’assurance et contribuer au développement de stratégies, au besoin.

Exigences et qualifications :

Au moins 3 ans d’expérience dans le domaine des réclamations pour dommages corporels

Capacité à gérer des réclamations pour dommages corporels de complexité modérée à élevée

Sens aigu de l’organisation et de la gestion du temps, ainsi que la capacité à travailler dans un environnement qui évolue rapidement

Pensée critique permettant de repérer les forces et les faiblesses d’un dossier de réclamation

Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite, ainsi que la volonté d’offrir un service à la clientèle hors pair

Titre de professionnel d’assurance agréé (PAA) ou être en voie de l’obtenir

Bilinguisme, un atout
