The Person: We are currently looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer who can be a part of our Technology team with proven experience and knowledge. This person should be comfortable with working in a fast-paced, rapid growth environment and show great initiative and ownership for taking on new roles and responsibilities

The Job:
• Deploy and manage cloud resources
• Maintain up time of the cloud infrastructure of mission-critical resources at ElevateK12 and tracking and reporting any service outages/downtimes
• Optimize the cloud resource maintaining a balance between performance and cost and drive the capacity planning based on projected business growth
• Manage the core product and delivery of cloud resources in Azure and AWS and the data centre
• Manage escalations and coordinate across all stakeholders & ensure the right action plan
• Observe and provide feedback to the team on adhering to processes, procedures and overall incident management to ensure effective response to assigned escalations
• Monitor daily operations, including server/infra hardware, software, and operating systems
• Defining the Cloud infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
• Collect & analyse business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization & develop solutions for IT needs
• Drive capacity planning exercises proactively and timely manner
• Develop and manage process around Cloud infrastructure needs, such as configuration management, regulatory compliance, service ticketing etc.
• Engage with vendors on right product, right pricing, and timely delivery
• Plan and manage software and services license wherever required

What you will need:

Must Have:
• 8-12 years of experience in the cloud with at least 6 years of experience with cloud-based provisioning, deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting and related DevOps technologies
• Diploma / B.Tech. / B.E. in Computer Sciences, technical qualification, or related fields or with adequate year of experience
• Hands-on experience in creating and deploying cloud resources on AWS/Azure with high availability and scalable architectures
• Experience with Azure VMs, Global Accelerators, Load Balancer, EC2, ELB, Lambda, S3, EFS, RDS, VPC, Elasti-Cache, Security Groups and Cloud Security or equivalent
• Good understanding of Cloud Computing Concepts, Service Models, Deployment Models, associated tools and technologies Specifically, good experience with IaaS and PaaS offerings from Azure/AWS, etc.
• Experience in building automation solution
• Experience in working with Container technologies (Docker & Kubernetes)
• Thorough understanding of access control on public cloud such as AWS/Azure IAM
• Must possess expert programming, performance tuning and troubleshooting skills
• Clear understanding of cloud principles including High Availability, Security, Cost Optimization
• Implementation experience in both managed and unmanaged services
• Understanding of Routing, Load Balancing, Redundancy, Disaster Recover, VPN, Firewalls, etc.
• Understanding of source control such as Microsoft TFS / VSTS & CICD tools (Azure DevOps)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to clearly communicate with software engineers as well as project management team
• Ability to exercise judgment in solving technical, operational, and organizational challenges
• Being able to learn independently and take on own initiatives when required

Good to Have:
• Experience in working with Infrastructure as code
• Experience with application performance monitoring systems
• Experience with Microsoft SQL server database, troubleshooting server performance issues, etc.
• Scripting experience preferably but not limited to PowerShell, Python, JSON, YML, Bash etc.
• Self-disciplined and highly motivated
• Ability to lead and mentor other team members
• Experience in vendor engagement

Certifications:
• AWS Certified Developer/Solutions Architect/Sys Ops
• MCSA Cloud Platform/MCSA Azure Solutions Architect
• Or any other equivalent cloud certification
