The Commercial team supports a broad range of established businesses, delivering unbeatable service to their customers through getting to know their businesses and understanding needs to help them realise their goals; while the Major Commercial team focuses on some of ASB’s largest and most complex clients, providing tailored, innovative solutions backed by senior banking expertise.
ASB is growing its Business Banking footprint and we have 4 permanent full-time roles available across our Auckland Regional Centres.
Te tūranga | The role
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will manage and drive a high-value Commercial Banking customer portfolio while also identifying, developing and acquiring new-to-bank business.
You’ll build momentum through strong customer relationships, a clear growth plan, and the ability to leverage a broad network of professional and business contacts.
This is a people leadership role where you’ll lead, coach and develop others, ensuring your team consistently delivers simple, practical solutions across a range of banking products and services—while balancing profitability and providing strong protection for operational and credit risk.
Ō pūkenga | About you
Across both teams, you’ll take ownership of a high-value customer portfolio and play a visible role in strengthening ASB’s market presence through relationship-led growth. This role suits a proven commercial banker who is ready to lead with market presence.
To be successful, you will bring impactful experience in commercial banking with demonstrated outcomes in new business acquisition and portfolio growth, well-established Auckland networks, strong relationship capability with senior business stakeholders, sound credit and risk judgement, and people leadership experience with a commitment to developing others.
Your relationship and people skills, coupled with an innovative approach, will see you build credibility quickly and make your mark in the industry.
