THE ROLE
The Senior Communications Adviser, Corporate Communications is responsible for employee communication projects within the Corporate Communication team at the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing. You will plan and implement communication strategies that will successfully communicate departmental initiatives and projects to employees and stakeholders. You will also be involved in the development of the department's corporate documents to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the department's vision and mission.
You will support the activities of the Corporate Communications team including the continual development of the department's internal communication channels, maintaining the Corporate Communication's editorial calendar and support the online and in-person engagement activities of the Secretary of the department.
You will play a senior role in building relationships with key stakeholders including the department's senior leadership, business and program areas and across the central Public Engagement branch.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
Develop, delivery and evaluate internal communication strategies, activities and collateral for the Department Secretary and executive leadership team.
Develop, delivery and evaluate internal communication strategies, activities and collateral (including but not limited to the department's intranet, EDM, event content, speeches and speaking notes).
Deliver effective communications of a high written and visual standard that comply with department and whole-of-government guidelines.
