Te Turanga | The Role
This is a varied communications role where you will apply your breadth of experience to support our two Business Partners, External Relations & Communications to deliver, alongside leading out on communications for your assigned portfolios.
Utilising a number of different external and internal channels to deliver key messages, youll develop content such as publications, reports, commentary pieces, case studies, stories, speeches and briefings. Youll also maintain media monitoring and reporting, and either respond or escalate media enquiries depending on their complexity or sensitivity.

As a highly versatile and generalist communications professional, youll provide flexible and responsive communications support to your Business Partner colleagues and leaders within the business. The ability to prioritise, collaborate with others and deliver quality outputs in line with business objectives will be key.
You will be known as an exceptional content developer and writer, planner and organiser, with sound judgement and critical thinking skills.
Youll have a broad base of communications experience across multiple channels and bring a high level of intellectual curiosity and interest in the regulatory environment, financial markets and government sector in New Zealand and internationally. You will be motivated to identify and act on opportunities relevant to the purpose, reputation and success of the FMA.

The appointing salary range for this role is around $120$135k base (typically 90100% of the range), plus 4% KiwiSaver and the benefits outlined above. Final offers are based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
