Public Health Communications and Behaviour Change team is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Senior Communications Officer – Capital (Clerk +/10) for a period of up to 22 July 2025 with an opportunity for extension. If you are interested in this role, please find details below.

Additional information
This is a NSW Health internal EOI and decisions will be made upon review of all submissions. Offers for this position are dependent on capacity to release the applicants from their current position/role. Please note the selection process will include an informal interview and work sample only to determine your suitability.
You can only be employed for a total period of up to 12 months via this expression of interest
About the role

As a Senior Communications Officer in this team, you’ll be responsible for planning, managing and evaluating integrated public health campaigns (including paid advertising) in addition to stakeholder and public health communications to improve the health and wellbeing of people across NSW.

About the position

Employment type: Internal Secondment up to 22 July 2025
Remuneration: Crown Clerk +/10 Salary plus super and annual leave loading

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with experience in:

Working with subject matter experts to develop communications strategies
Briefing research, creative and media agencies, according to budgets and agreed KPIs
Interpreting and discussing media plans with non-marketing colleagues
Project managing and evaluating marketing/communications campaigns
Translating complex subject matter into easily understood key messages and copy for a wide range of audiences
Managing campaign budgets
Managing statewide communication projects on sensitive or complex matters, with diverse stakeholders, audiences and priorities.
