The Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing is a Victorian public entity led by a unique Co-CEO partnership and governed by an independent skills-based Board who report to the Minister for Mental Health. About the role:
The Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing is seeking a Senior Compliance and Risk Officer to lead the development and management of performance, compliance, and risk frameworks that support the Centre's strategic goals and operational delivery.
Reporting to the Manager, Performance and Governance and seeking guidance from the Manager, Business Finance & Risk as required, the role will be key to embedding a risk culture and strong risk and compliance practices across the Centre, coordinating adherence to government policies, service agreements and contracts, and supporting continuous improvement through robust monitoring and reporting frameworks that ensure meaningful engagement and full participation of those with lived and living experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress in the Collaborative Centre's work.
About us:
The Collaborative Centre plays a central role in system transformation and over the next three 3 years, we will prioritise translational research and systemwide workforce training and capability development, particularly for the lived and living experience workforce.
Through our existing partnerships with clinical, academic and lived experience organisations we will produce research informed by lived experience and translate the outcomes of that research into new and innovative models of care for better mental health and wellbeing outcomes for all Victorians.

About you:
To be successful in this role you will have the following knowledge/skills:
Systems Thinking: Diagnoses trends, obstacles and opportunities in the internal and external environment; understands the linkages between natural systems and communities to inform policy; conceptualises and defines the systems working within the organisation.
Problem Solving: Seeks all relevant information for problem-solving; liaises with stakeholders; analyses issues from different perspectives and draws sound inferences from information available; identifies and proposes workable solutions to problems; implements solutions, evaluates effectiveness and adjusts actions as required.
Stakeholder Management: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses this to build mutually beneficial partnerships; identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved; finds innovative solutions to resolve stakeholder issues.
Planning and Organising: Sets clearly defined objectives and priorities and operates accordingly, reviewing and adjusting as required; identifies processes, tasks and resources required to achieve a goal; establishes systems and procedures to guide work and track progress; recognises actual and potential barriers and finds effective ways to deal with them.
Qualifications and Specialist Expertise
Demonstrated experience in governance, compliance, risk management or performance reporting within the public sector.
Tertiary qualifications in public administration, business, risk, finance, policy, or a related discipline are desirable.
Sound knowledge and practical understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and frameworks, including the Financial Management Act 1994, government risk and compliance frameworks, and public sector governance requirements.
Demonstrated experienc e working with people that have a past or current lived experience of mental ill-health or psychological distress is preferable.
