Key Responsibilities
1. Define end-to-end solution architecture for Flutter mobile applications and Node.js backend services.
2. Design low-level designs (LLDs), present them to architecture and security stakeholders, and drive formal approvals.
3. Establish architecture standards, coding guidelines, reusable components, and reference implementations.
4. Design REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication and authorization patterns, and service contracts.
5. Lead integration design for third-party systems, event-driven patterns, and enterprise platforms.
6. Own non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, reliability, security, and observability.
7. Define CI/CD and release strategies for mobile and backend deployments.
8. Partner with QA and SRE teams on quality gates, test automation, and production readiness.
9. Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and architecture governance across teams.
Must-have Skills
1. Strong experience in Node.js, TypeScript, and backend frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
2. Strong experience in Flutter and Dart for production-grade cross-platform applications.
3. Proven experience with microservices architecture, API management, and asynchronous messaging patterns.
4. Hands-on cloud architecture and implementation experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
5. Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker and Kubernetes).
6. Good understanding of security practices including OAuth2, JWT, encryption, and secure coding.
7. Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release governance.
Good-to-have
1. Experience in Insurance domain systems and customer journeys.
2. Experience in React.js or Angular-based web applications.
3. Knowledge of observability tooling and production incident response practices.
Education and Certifications
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
2. Cloud certifications on GCP are preferred.
3. Architecture or security certifications are an advantage.
Selection Expectations
1. Demonstrate architecture ownership through examples of approved LLDs and implementation outcomes.
2. Ability to articulate trade-offs across scalability, security, cost, and time-to-market.
3. Strong communication and stakeholder management for cross-functional delivery.
