If so, Deloitte’s growing M&A Analytics team, part of the wider Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SR&T) group, offers an exciting opportunity for you. You'll work on high-profile M&A assignments, collaborating with top professionals in the field and engage in a broad range of corporate and private equity transactions. What will your typical day look like?

Our M&A Analytics team provides clients with expert support throughout transactions or potential deals. You’ll help investigate target companies from multiple angles to identify key value drivers, risks, and critical issues, enabling our clients to make well-informed decisions. Core services include:
Acquisition and vendor due diligence
Bid defence and support
Reporting accountant services for capital market transactions
We work within larger deal teams, drawing on Deloitte’s extensive expertise in areas like commercial and operational due diligence, sale and purchase agreement negotiations, financial modelling, fund placement, merger integration and business intelligence.

In this critical role, you will provide data-driven insights to support financial due diligence and M&A transactions. You will bridge the gap between data analytics, visualization and financial analysis, playing a key role in delivering analytic insights as part of our M&A teams. We expect you to have the following attributes and abilities to be successful in this role:

Education & Experience:
Completed undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Engineering with outstanding academic credentials • 3-5 years of experience in a Finance, Commerce or Analytics role
Strong financial literacy with a solid understanding of value drivers that underpin financial performance
Technical & Analytical Expertise:
Experience with languages and tools such as Excel, SQL, R, Alteryx, Python, Tableau, QlikView, GitHub, VBA
Ability to undertake financial analysis across profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flows.
Experience with improving team quality, efficiency and skillsets
Communication & Leadership:
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
A demonstrated track record of successfully bridging the gap between technology and business teams, as well as stakeholders
Ability to develop static and interactive data visualizations to communicate business insights to clients
Project & Collaboration Skills:
Experience in managing project timelines and client deliverables effectively while collaborating extensively with clients and other Deloitte teams
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively toward common goals, with past experience leading analytics professionals
Continuous Learning & Innovation:
A personal commitment to continuous learning, with a track record of keeping up-to-date with emerging analytics tools, approaches and methods
Ability to understand and articulate the commercial implications of analytic solutions in the context of financial reporting and decision-making
